If you would like a copy of this Tai Chi memory chain, feel free to click on the drawing.  Then paste it into any other program or (not for profit) web site.   If you modify,  it please mark it modified, but please do not erase the original creater’s name.   I give it to you freely, but please give me credit for my original work.  The Tai Chi Memory  Chain is  based on the 1956 official  “Standard Simplified Taijiquan Version”.

My understanding is that the 24 Tai Chi Form was developed in 1956 by the National Physical Culture and Sports Commission of the People’s Republic of China.  The Standard Simplified Beijing 24 Taijiquan Form was based on the Yang Family style of Tai Chi Chuan.  The Yang Style of Taijiquan was developed by Yang Lu Chan (1799-1872),.   Yang Lu Chan learned the Chen Style T’ai Chi Ch’uan from Chen Chang Xing (1771-1853).

Eventually the grandson of Yang Lu Chan, Yang Cheng Fu (1883-1936) modified and popularized the Yang Style Taijiquan (1883-1936)

If you  want a memory chain made of a form,  kata or other posture based activity, please contact us.

If you would like a “cleaner” version of this drawing for purposes of reproduction or enlarging,  the cost is $10 for the the file and rights to reproduce in a “not for profit” venue.   It was designed for reproduction on shirts so it is 2 colors plus black for silk screening.  The jpg here is not good enough quality, but loads faster than a better version.   We can even provide a Photoshop version in layers in case you want to delete or add movements.
